Wrong Venue by Mike Klumpp

wrong venue

there is honesty and tenderness
in the gay beast
beauty
in the struggle
to be gaston
to love gaston

but

in a public eye
the wrong venue
a child’s suggestion

the beast
becomes the audience
nothing “gay”
just pain and rejection

honesty
in no body’s friend
just ask the King –
